From cost-effective new-home landscaping to complete garden makeovers, FNQ Landscapes creates functional outdoor spaces from Gordonvale to Port Douglas.

From bare ground to finished garden
We complete landscape projects for new homes, established properties and outdoor spaces ready for a fresh start. After the expense of building a new house, we can help prioritise the work and recommend cost-effective options that still create a polished, long-lasting result.
Our team holds a Certificate III in Landscape Construction and brings practical local knowledge to the materials, plants, drainage and finishes chosen for Far North Queensland conditions.
What we build
Garden construction, soil preparation, tropical planting and full garden makeovers.
Ground preparation, top dressing and quality turf installation for new and existing homes.
Timber, block, metal or concrete edging, paving and low-maintenance gravel pathways.
Small retaining solutions in brickwork, blockwork, timber or concrete sleepers.
Timber and Colorbond fencing to improve privacy, boundaries and the overall finish.
Practical drainage improvements, including pit drains connected to existing stormwater where appropriate.
New-home landscaping
We regularly work with owners of newly completed homes to turn raw building sites into clean, usable outdoor spaces. The scope can be staged or completed together—from preparation and fencing through to turf, planting and pathways.

Paving & gravel pathways
Gravel pathways are a practical choice along shaded sides of homes where turf receives limited sunlight. They improve access, drainage and presentation while remaining easy to maintain.
We set pavers on a sand-and-cement base to give the pathway a firm, durable foundation and a better long-term result.
Fencing & privacy
We construct six-foot timber fencing as well as Colorbond options, selected around privacy, appearance, maintenance and the style of the home.
Good fencing can be included as part of a complete landscape project so levels, access, gardens and turf all work together.

Retaining & garden structure
Small retaining walls can be built in brickwork, blockwork, timber or concrete sleepers depending on the levels, finish and requirements of the property.
For garden definition, options range from simple timber edging to block, metal or concrete edging. Block edging is set on a sand-and-cement base for stability and a cleaner long-term finish.

Garden edging
Well-chosen edging creates a clear divide between turf and garden beds. We recommend the material that best suits the home, landscape style, maintenance needs and overall project.
Preferred turf supplier
We use Harden Park Lawns as our preferred turf supplier—not only for the quality of their lawn, but also for the ongoing service and support they provide.
That supplier relationship helps us recommend and install turf with confidence, while giving clients access to dependable advice beyond the installation itself.
From idea to clear proposal
Send photos, approximate measurements and a description of what you would like to achieve.
For most projects we visit the property, discuss practical options and prepare a basic scope and quote.
For projects needing more detail, we can prepare concept images, material direction and a clearer breakdown of the proposed work from $500.
If you proceed with FNQ Landscapes, the agreed concept fee can be credited toward the construction price.
Service area
We work across Cairns and surrounding areas, with travel depending on the size, scope and requirements of the project.
